1916  The picture to the left shows the second Virgin Valley High School graduating class. The high school was located in Bunkerville until 1958.

1916  A Normal School opened in Bunkerville offering college credit for promising teachers. Miss Mina Connelly, a recent graduate of Columbia University, was the first instructor.

1917  A cement school was constructed on same site as the first “flag school house”. The new building had four classrooms, a gas lighting system, heating and ventilation. This building became the high school. The next building added to the campus was referred to as the "West Building". Additional buildings were an Auditorium, Gym and Shop Building.
