Elementary School Facility - 2000s

   On November 3, 1998, a $3,500,000,000 bond issue paid for land acquisition rehab and the modernization of some schools. In addition, the bond funded 61 elementary schools, 22 middle schools, 18 high schools, and 11 replacement schools. A total of $4.9 billion dollars was generated between 1998 and 2010 which came from three sources: 1) a portion of county property taxes, 2) real estate transaction taxes, and 3) an increased percentage of hotel room taxes.
